Mohamed K. Mansaray migrated to the United States of America in 1997 during the period of war and turmoil in Sierra Leone. Being a young adult with strong ties to his family and country, it was only at the urging of his parents that he agreed to head for the United States in an effort to further his education. Shortly after arriving in the United States he attended Howard University where he earned a bachelor’s of Science in Sociology. During his studies his passion for helping mankind flourished as he read deeply and widely about political and international affairs. Despite being in the United States, Mohamed Mansaray has consistently maintained strong ties to
Sierra Leone. He returns to his country several times each year, which enables him to stay abreast of current events and to contribute to positive changes within the country. His efforts met with some success, but he concluded that, faced with a complex bureaucracy, "I just can't get things done here without running for the Presidency. I want to build a middle class system in Sierra Leone. I want to make our country Sierra Leone a nation that everyone will be proud of." Due to Mr. Mansaray’s community organization in Sierra Leone, the people are calling for him to run for the Presidency in 2018. He is now relying upon all fellow Sierra Leoneans to rise together as a country and unite with him in the quest for a brighter future and hope for our country, Sierra Leone.
